Where Language Learning Meets Community and Care

Who?

The English classes are for anyone who is interested in learning English and improving their English language skills.

When?

Classes start Tuesday, August 4th from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm.

Cost?

$15 for the student book and workbook. Free childcare is also available.

Volunteer?

The teachers and childcare workers are volunteers. There is often a need for additional volunteers. If you are interested, please contact info@ourncm.org.

- A. I don't understand most of what people say. I only know some vocabulary in English. I can't make a sentence in English. No entiendo la mayor parte de lo que dice la gente. Solo conozco algo de vocabulario en inglés. No puedo formar una oración en inglés.
- B. I understand a little of what people say. I know some vocabulary words and a few verbs. I can speak in present tense a little, but don't know past and future tenses very well. Entiendo un poco lo que dice la gente. Conozco algunas palabras de vocabulario y unos pocos verbos. Puedo hablar un poco en tiempo presente, pero no conozco muy bien los tiempos pasado y futuro.
- C. I understand a lot of what people say. I can speak in sentences in English in present tense. I know some of the past tense and future tense, but I still need practice.
- D. I understand almost everything that people say to me and understand television in English. I don't have trouble speaking and making myself understood. I know all of the tenses, I just need more time practicing speaking English.
