Keeping our new facility bright and clean so our clients feel welcome and safe is important. Volunteers are needed for general inside cleaning such as vacuuming, sweeping, and sanitizing desks and chairs. Outside maintenance includes weeding, watering, trash pickup, sweeping sidewalks and other related tasks. Hours vary but typically would be anytime Tuesday or Thursday, or after 2:00 on Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
If you are detail-oriented and like working with our clients, we need you in the Clothes Closet. NCM’s Clothes Closet offers our clients the dignity of selecting basic clothing items that they cannot afford to purchase. We take away the burden of having to decide between having proper work attire or clothes for fast-growing children and other basic needs like healthy food, transportation or housing.
Opportunities are currently available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Primary tasks are sorting, organizing and hanging donated clothing. Opportunities to assist clients with their choices is also available.
