Alexi Bardi

Board Member

Founder and Chairman of Bardi Heating, Cooling and Plumbing for the past 27 years. Alex has been involved with Vistage International mentoring organization, the Associated Credit Union, Robert W. Fowler YMCA board member, and is a current Advisory Board member and past Board Chairman of the Tommy Nobis Center. Alex and his family are active members at Simpsonwood UMC.

Susan Bardi

Board Member

Susan, and her husband Alex, started Bardi Heating, Cooling and Plumbing with Susan managing the service and accounting divisions of the company. Susan has also served as a volunteer in the Norcross/Peachtree Corners community for twenty years through school, civic and church organizations. She and her family are active members at Simpsonwood UMC.

Gary Brace

Board Member

A retired healthcare actuary who co-led Milliman’s Atlanta Healthcare practice for over 20 years, Gary currently serves on the Finance Committee for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Gary also has served as the Chairman of the Advisory Board for NCM, along with various committees and boards in the City of Norcross. He attends Perimeter Church.

Darcy Copeland

Board Member

Darcy is a CPA with a career path that includes public and private accounting, forensic accounting, financial consulting and entrepreneur advising. In addition to NCM, she also has shared her talent with other boards like Wesleyan School Parents Club, MA Jardina Foundation, Karama Collections, Serve Georgia, Atlanta Dream Center, City of Refuge, Habitat for Humanity and Foodstock. Darcy and her family are active members at Perimeter Church.

David Copeland

Board Member

A lifelong resident of Gwinnett County, David and his family have been supporters of NCM since it’s inception. Other past or current charitable organizations David has been involved with include: Atlanta Dream Center, Foodstock, City of Refuge, Wesleyan School missions, and the Shepherd Center Share Military Initiative. David and his family are active members at Perimeter Church.

Mike Dickinson

Board Member

Mike is the Executive Officer of Dickinson Fleet Services and is responsible for all sales and marketing. Mike brings more than 25 years of experience in the transportation industry to his position. In addition to the NCM Board, Mike previously served two years on the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s advisory board. He and his family attend 12 Stone Church.

Steve Dorough

Board Member

Founder and CEO of First Community Development, Steve has been associated with fundraising for the past 35 years raising a total of more than $150 million for vital community programs. Innovator, strategist, author and counselor, Steve is at the forefront of corporate driven fundraising throughout the Southeast. Steve partnered with NCM in 2012 to develop and implement NCM’s first 5-yr fundraising campaign, which raised $3.8 million. He followed with another campaign in 2016 that raised $1.1 million. Steve and his wife Kim are active members at Simpsonwood UMC.

Weare Gratwick

Board Member

Weare has over 30 years of banking experience and has served as a community leader in Peachtree Corners/Norcross for the past 18 years. Currently, Weare is the Gwinnett Regional President for Tandem Bank, serves as Mayor Pro Tem on the City Council of Peachtree Corners, and is the Chairman of the SW Gwinnett Chamber. He is a graduate of Leadership Gwinnett and a graduate of the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Regional Leadership Institute. Weare and his family are members of Simpsonwood UMC.

Yolanda Henderson

Board Member

Yolanda has 30+ years of experience in finance, accounting, risk management, and strategy/planning. Her experience spans across two companies: Price Waterhouse Coopers and the Coca-Cola Company. Currently, Yolanda is a consultant with Resources Global Professionals. Her public service involvement includes leadership positions with the National Assn. of Black Accountants, Chayil (org. for battered women), as well as, NHS and Pinckneyville MS PTSA exec boards. Yolanda and her family attend World Changers Church.

Richard Kay

Board Member

Richard is a life-long resident of Norcross and has served as a Director for InHealth Systems & Services for the past 27 years. His areas of expertise are: manufacturing & distribution, purchasing, property mgmt., business unit acquisition, relocation/consolidation, and project management. Richard has served on the NCM Bd. of Directors for the past 6 years – 1.5 years as VP and 2.5 years as President. Under his tenure, he and the Exec. Committee hired a Community Relations Dir., located and purchased a new, larger facility, sold the previous facility, initiated a capital campaign, and led the restructuring of the Bd. of Directors. Richard is a long-standing member of Johns Creek Baptist Church.

Elizabeth Gross

Board Chair

With a Masters of Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern, Elizabeth retired as Hasbro VP-Marketing to focus on raising her 4 children. She has also served in various civic and community roles. Elizabeth joined the NCM board in 2017 and currently serves as the Board Chairman. In 2013, Elizabeth and her husband Paul, served as co-chairs for the family division of the NCM Restoring Hope fundraising campaign. Other community involvement: Norcross HS Foundation Board Co-President, Norcross and Pinckneyville School Council Rep., Simpsonwood UMC Administrative Council, Stewardship and Staff-Parish Relations Chair.

Lynette Howard

Board Member

Lynette has been a resident and servant of Gwinnett County resident since 1987. Lynette has worked in many capacities as a volunteer, and elected official. She served two terms as Gwinnett County Commissioner, District 2, during which time she helped approved 8 balanced budgets, served as committee member for Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), Board member of Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful, Board of Managers for Association of County Commissioners of Georgia, and Gwinnett County Advisory Committee for 2030 plan.
In 2018 Lynette was awarded the Paul Duke Award of Peachtree Corners for outstanding civic service. She was instrumental in saving Simpsonwood Park during her tenure as County Commissioner. Lynette attends Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.

Tye Hanna

Board Member

Tye co-founded and served as CEO/President of Galaxy Asset Management until it was sold in 2018. Following this sale, he co-founded Titan Asset Management of which he is CEO/President. Tye is a CPA with a background in audit services. Personally, Tye and his family are very involved in the Norcross, Peachtree Corners and Duluth communities and focus on giving back. Tye and his family attend St. Brigid Catholic Church.

Ken Shumard

Board Member

Ken is an accountant who has applied his 30 years experience in the healthcare industry to help NCM as a board member. Ken also helps manage many of his family’s varied business and charitable efforts with a particular heart for poverty relief. Ken has served for several years on the NCM Bd. of Directors and the Exec. Committee. Ken and his family attend Campus Church of Christ on the GAC campus.

Gary Walderich

Board Member

Gary joined the NCM church board in 2017 and in 2018, he assumed the role of treasurer for the board. Gary is currently a pastor in the Pastoral Care Dept. at Victory World Church. Prior to this position, he served as the director of finance/accounting for the church for 12 years. Gary also serves on the board of Victory World Christian School as Treasurer.

Monty Watson

Board Member

Monty currently serves as Board Chairman and CEO of Piedmont Bancorp and The Piedmont Bank, a $1.0 billion community bank, with 10 offices in NE Metro Atlanta and north GA. Monty has served on the boards of the Atlanta Athletic Club, Go Chamber of Commerce, and the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. Monty and his family reside in Peachtree Corners and attend Passion City Church.
